WoW Forever PvP Gear and Rewards
PvP ranks unlock items to buy with Honor and, for some gear, Marks of Honor. In WoW Forever, epic armor needs the blue piece plus a seal unlocked at Ranks 8 to 13, and most Honor prices rose about 50% on October 1.
PvP vendor locations
- Alliance
- The Champions' Hall in Stormwind.
- Horde
- The Hall of Legends in Orgrimmar.
- Dalaran
- Wowhead reports vendors for PvP armor, weapons and accessories in the Underbelly, and Icy Veins lists them for the Alliance. Blizzard's October 15 notes say Horde characters are attacked on sight in Dalaran and the Sewer Key quest no longer grants open-world access. Horde players should use Orgrimmar; the City of Dalaran dungeon remains accessible.
- Darkspear reputation
- The Theramore Expeditionary Force base at Northwatch (Alliance) and the Darkspear Raiders base on the Merchant Coast (Horde), both in the Barrens. Each base also has a portal into Darkspear Islands.

PvP rewards by rank
Blizzard's October 7 progression article lists these rewards. In game, the Player vs. Player tab of the character pane (C) shows your rank, Rank Points and the rewards you can buy. Rank titles and Rank Point totals are on PvP ranks.

Item names and levels are from Wowhead's Forever item data. Every PvP reward binds when picked up.
At the beta's level 30 cap you can use only the tabards, the Insignia and the Battle Standard.
PvP gear upgrades
Honor buys two PvP armor sets, a blue set and an epic set. Blizzard says new and reworked items fill gaps for specializations that lacked PvP gear; Shaman, for example, get healer, melee and caster sets.
- Blue set, bought with Honor. Beta price records also list 10–15 Marks of Honor for blue armor. Blizzard names no rank requirement, and Wowhead's item data shows only a level requirement. Example: the Premier Chainmail Helmet is item level 60, needs level 55 and is part of a six-piece Hunter set with 2-, 4- and 6-piece bonuses.
- Epic upgrades, Ranks 8 to 13. Blizzard says each epic piece requires the matching blue piece plus that slot's Emboldened Seal, which you can buy once you reach its rank. Example: the Premier Emboldened Chest Seal needs Rank 13 and level 60. Epic pieces such as the Premier Field Marshal's Chainmail Helm are item level 65 and need level 60.
- Weapons, Rank 14. Premier Grand Marshal's (Alliance) and Premier High Warlord's (Horde) weapons, such as the Premier Grand Marshal's Claymore, are item level 65 and need level 60.
Rank 8 bracers. Blizzard has not said whether the epic bracers are bought outright or upgraded. Wowhead's beta data has Rank 8 seals for both wrist and belt, plus epic Knight-Captain's (Alliance) and Legionnaire's (Horde) bracers and belts.
Trinkets, potions, standards and mounts
Our advice: buy the Insignia as soon as you reach Rank 2, since no other early reward does more in a fight. Effects are from Wowhead's Forever item data, checked October 12.

Honor and mark costs
Blizzard raised most PvP gear and upgrade-token Honor prices by about 50% on October 1. In the beta price records, individual increases range from about a third to 60%, so do not multiply an older price by 1.5.
The table shows build 1.60.1.70205 values recorded ; they already include the October 1 increase.

You can hold at most 25,000 Honor (15,000 before October 1). Blizzard raised battleground Marks of Honor stacks from 20 to 30 on October 15. The most expensive weapon costs 22,500 Honor, 90% of the cap, so start saving before you reach Rank 14.
In Icy Veins' price list, each item takes one battleground's marks. Two-handed Rank 14 weapons take 20 Alterac Valley marks; one-handed and ranged weapons and off-hands take 10 Darkspear Islands marks. Icy Veins lists Alterac Valley for levels 51–60 only. Darkspear Islands reputation
Playing Darkspear Islands raises your standing with the Theramore Expeditionary Force (Alliance) or the Darkspear Raiders (Horde). Blizzard says their vendors at the Barrens bases sell gear and consumables, including trinkets, rings, cloaks, weapons and armor, at different reputation levels. In late September, Wowhead's PvP overview listed the gear from Friendly to Revered.
The bases also give quests for the battleground, and Blizzard mentions turning in Marks of Honor for reputation. Exalted unlocks a short questline for the faction's own tabard and earns one Legacy point, one of four from battleground reputations. Rules and objectives are on Darkspear Islands.
